Holga adventures

I while ago my friend introduced me to Holga cameras. Photos taken by them can be fantastic and quite unpredictable (for instance you can expect some special light effects as these cameras usually aren't very tight).

I've bought a camera for myself but unfortunately it's too good, to well done... No fun yet ;)

Have a look at some shots which I've found searching flickr. Three first have been taken by my mentioned friend - his sensitivity is amazing! I'm happy that one of them I can see everyday :)

Alex Kanevsky - the artist

A while ago I've found online Alex Kanevsky's work. Since then I'm his big fan and hopefully one day I'll buy something painted/printed/photographed by him...

More at Alex's website here.

Very interesting interview with Alex here.

Mmmm... Cupcake kisses!

My boss's wife and her friend have found a great way for merging pleasant and profitable.
They started a cupcake business! I recommend their baking as the best I've ever tried :)

Look at the photos below – you'll find a sweet treat for each occasion – birthday, a meeting with friends, halloween party, a new baby born...

It can be a nice gift too. This year Dialogue, an advertising agency where I work as an art director, send some cupcakes to our clients as an alternative to a traditional Christmas card. It will not last long but for sure everybody will remember our company!

This Christmas baking ladies have boxes of 6 and 12 Christmas Cupcakes for delivery up to the 24th. December. You can take them when visiting over the Holidays for a unique handmade gift.
Call Susan (+353 0862581169) and Mary Pat (+353 0272267776).

That's a logo which I've designed

Enjoy and mind your dirty fingers! ;)

Plushy cupcakes!

more cupcakes, originally uploaded by safischer1.

If you are fans of this delicious dessert, have a look at these made of filt cupcakes. They will last for so much longer than the real ones and – they are much lighter if you know what I mean ;)

SnapVillage.com

Have a look at my photos in SnapVillage.com – maybe you will decide to buy some ;)
Currently I have there 96 shots but I'll be keeping uploading in my free time.

This photo library is empowered by Corbis – one of my favorite ones – offering good, real, not cheesy shots. Lets hope that SnapVillage will follow the rule!

The Big Barking Beast

A while ago I've completed my second book for children (I've never published the first one!). Again it's not a commercial project, rather something for enthusiasts of a hand made design. I came up with the idea for the story and asked an Irish writer James O'Neill about writing down few lines for me. The result is great!

Few weeks later I've written a movie script based on this story and hopefully one day I'll get enough funds to get the animation done. It will be longer and more interesting than the book :)

Drop me a line if you want to buy the book (Eur 20 + cost of delivery): agrand(at)agrand(dot)eu

The clay and stop motion animation store

Maybe somebody will be interested in exploring an online american store for animation makers and lovers: www.animateclay.com/shop.
You will find there tutorials, books, tools and other materials useful during preparing an animated movie. Enjoy!

Amazing craftwork

Today I've found a website showing fantastic fairy dolls and animals made by Michelle Bradshaw (http://www.pixiwillow.com/home.htm). I'ld love to have some of them, especially in one of my next animations...

Look at this rabbit – isn't it cute?

And the bear – such an attention for detail!

I'm truly amazed!

Hallo :)

Was it the first word send via Internet? Probably yes. Now it's the first word typed in my new blog ;) I'm going to write about this what wins my heart and mind - I hope we will enjoy it together :)
